Tennessee Notes

-- First-seeded Tennessee improves to 28-4 on the season. Tennessee has now won at least 28 games in each of the last 15 seasons.

-- The Lady Vols have compiled an 87-17 record in their 24 trips to the NCAA Tournament. Tennessee has won 46 consecutive NCAA tournament games in Knoxville, including 34 in Thompson-Boling Arena. Their streak increases to 51 games when taking into account contests in the AIAW tournament.

-- Tennessee advances to its 24th consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 and will face Texas Tech. UT is 4-0 all-time versus the Lady Raiders. The Lady Vols earned a 57-44 victory in their last meeting on March 27, 2000, in the Mideast Regional final in Memphis, Tenn.

-- UT improves its all-time record to 6-1 against Purdue. It was the first meeting in the NCAA Tournament between the schools. It is now 42-4 all-time against Big Ten opponents.

-- Tennessee held Purdue to just 4-of-23 (17.4 percent) shooting in the second half.

-- Tennessee’s 11 3-pointers set a school record in NCAA tournament games, eclipsing the nine the Lady Vols made against DePaul in the second round on Mar. 22, 2004.

-- With a game-high 18 points and a team-high 10 rebounds in 23 minutes, Tye’sha Fluker earned her third double-double of the season.

-- Freshman Nicky Anosike swiped a career-high six steals, coming up just shy of UT’s NCAA Tournament single-game record (Nicky McCray, 7, versus Northwestern on March 20, 1993.

-- Shanna Zolman is 8-of-13 from beyond the arc during the first two games of the NCAA Tournament. She is 16-of-23 from the field overall.

-- Zolman has scored in double figures in seven of her past eight tournament games. She has now hit 22 3-pointers in 14 career tournament games.
