Reaching the 'Summitt' in NCAA sports

THUMBS UP TO:

The University of Tennessee’s legendary lady of basketball, Pat Summitt, now with more wins under her belt than any other NCAA coach – man or woman – in history.

Summitt reached this momentous milestone Tuesday when the Lady Vols defeated Purdue in the second round of the NCAA tournament. For Summitt, it was her 880th career win – a proud moment she shared with her team, her husband, their son and her elderly mother. In honor of her accomplishment, the court at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville was renamed, "The Summitt."

Here’s looking at you, Pat. May you serve as an inspiration, not just to your team, but to all the grade school and high school young ladies out there with hoop dreams of their own.
