Gatewood will play first game vs. DePaul

KNOXVILLE — Lady Vols freshman point guard Sa'de Wiley-Gatewood will dress for Sunday's game against DePaul.

Gatewood has been sidelined since the preseason with tendinitis, but will practice tomorrow and Saturday. The Lady Vols are off today.

This comes as good news to Tennessee, who will lose senior point guard Loree Moore for up to a month after she has a tonsillectomy tomorrow.

Moore has had trouble breathing with sinus problems. She felt bad at practice yesterday and had to be tended to by trainer Jenny Moshak.

Freshman Alexis Hornbuckle will start at point guard Sunday with starting shooting guard Shanna Zolman backing her up, but Coach Pat Summitt said Gatewood could get minutes.

Gatewood was a Parade All-America her junior and senior years at Lynwood High School in Pomona, Calif.
